CORPORATE CRIMINAL LAW AND BANKRUPTCY

The Firm counts a specific and decades-long experience in criminal defense with reference to all crimes falling within the area of corporate criminal law (the so-called white collar crimes).

By working in cases of national importance, the Professionals have acquired an in-depth expertise in bankruptcy proceedings, insider trading, false accounting and other corporate crimes, providing defensive assistance, especially, to auditing firms of international importance.

Particular attention is given to the choice of the most suitable and authoritative consultants, in order to guarantee the highest levels of performance.

CRIMINAL LIABILITY FOR NEGLIGENCE

A significant part of the judicial assistance activity is represented by the trial defense concerning criminal liability for negligence, in the forms of professional and product liability, as well as for crimes against public safety (like disasters, epidemics, collapses, fires, etc.).

Particular attention is paid to trials involving disputes of homicide and/or injuries deriving from the violation of accident prevention regulations at the workplace.

In these areas, the Firm avails itself of the advice of renowned professionals (such as engineers, doctors, legal practitioners, etc.).

ENVIRONMENTAL AND URBAN PLANNING CRIMES

The Firm's Professionals have gained a wide range of skills over the years in reference to criminal proceedings relating to offenses against the environment in industrial realities and against public safety.

Specifically, the criminal proceedings followed by the Firm concern – for example - crimes against public safety and public health and various types of offenses mentioned both by the Italian Criminal Code and by the sector legislation, including the special legislation in environmental matters.

Also related to this matter is the activity of urban planning violations pursuant to Presidential Decree 380/2001 and landscape violations pursuant to Law 42/2004.

TAX CRIMINAL LAW

The Firm also counts specific skills concerning tax criminal law, providing assistance in criminal proceedings relating to disputes pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 74/2000, in defense of entrepreneurs and legal representatives of legal entities.

The assistance also extends to offenses usually related to tax matters, such as money laundering, money self-laundering, as well as crimes related to social security declarations and payments.

Carla Manduchi was a research fellow for 4 years at the University La Sapienza of Rome in the subject of criminal tax law and counts a huge number of publications.

CRIMES AGAINST PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The founder participated in the whole Roman branch of "Mani Pulite" trial, transferred to the Court of Rome, given that most of the crimes prosecuted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Milano were committed in Roman palaces (such as corruption, abuses of office, omission of official documents, extortion).

Since then, the Firm's activity went on and today it deals with bid rigging cases, also related to competition law issues.

CRIMES AGAINST PROPERTY

The Firm offers legal assistance for all cases concerning individual assets or legal persons and inheritances (such as scams, commercial fraud, embezzlement, issues that arise with reference to the share capital and the qualification of shareholders, hereditary assets, etc.).

It has also participated in important trials both with reference to large-scale fraud (Ponzi scheme) and complex international money laundering operations.

CRIMES AGAINST HONOR AND REPUTATION

The Firm has always carried out judicial and extrajudicial activities to protect honor and reputation of its clients for attacks also related to criminal trials.

The Firm provides legal assistance to relevant national television broadcasters.

The Firm has recently specialized in the field of the so-called “right to be forgotten”, providing legal assistance in proceedings before the Italian Data Protection Authority pursuant to the GDPR EU Regulation.
